Buying from independent boutiques with confidence
Published 9/3/2026
You are buying from a named seller, not an anonymous warehouse. That is the point — and a reason to know what to look at.
Who is behind the boutique
Every boutique is verified when it opens an account: the company number and details are checked against the business registry, and the bank account against the tax authority's list. The boutique page carries its registry data, and every product names the seller with a link to their storefront.
What "verified purchase" means
The badge on a review means the author bought that product from that boutique — the order is confirmed in the system. Reviews without the badge are still real, but they carry different weight. You can filter the list down to verified ones.
Ask before you buy
Every product has a tab for questions to the boutique. The ones worth asking:
- the real length in your size (boutiques measure the actual piece and answer in centimetres),
- the colour in daylight, when the photo is a studio shot,
- whether another size can be made, if yours is not listed.
Signals worth a pause
- A price far below market for a well-known brand.
- A description with no composition and no country of manufacture.
- Photos clearly taken from the maker's catalogue, without a single shot of their own.
Reporting a listing takes a moment — the Report button sits at the bottom of every product page. We look at every report.
