The AI fitting room — what it does and what it does not
Published 9/3/2026
The fitting room shows how a garment sits on a figure: where the hem lands, how wide the cut is, whether the sleeve is loose. It is a preview of the cut, not a body measurement.
What it does
- Puts the chosen product on a model, or on your own body model.
- Shows the item from several angles, where the boutique supplied those shots.
- Lets you compare two sizes of the same cut.
What it does not
- It does not measure you. Size comes from the boutique's table and your own numbers.
- It cannot feel the fabric. Stiff linen and soft viscose in the same cut hang differently, and an image will not show that.
- It cannot show the back if the boutique did not photograph the back. We generate from what exists, and we say so.
Getting the most out of it
Build your own body model (Account → My model) with your height and main measurements. The closer to the truth, the more useful the preview. Treat the result like a mirror one step too far away — good for proportion, no substitute for touching the cloth.
Anything generated by a model is labelled on the product page. A real photograph always wins: if the boutique has one, you see it first.
